Uses
Symptomatic treatment of acute diarrhoea and acute episodes of diarrhoea associated with Irritable Bowel Syndrome diagnosed by a doctor.
Format and Ingredients
Blue soft oval capsule containing:
Loperamide Hydrochloride 2mg
Dosage
Acute episodes of diarrhoea associated with IBS: 18 years and over: 2 capsules initially followed by 1 capsule after every loose bowel movement, or as previously advised by a doctor, up to a maximum of 6 capsules in 24 hours. Under 18 years: not to be given. Acute diarrhoea: 12 years and over: 2 capsules initially followed by 1 capsule after every loose bowel movement, up to a maximum of 6 capsules in 24 hours. If symptoms do not improve within 2 days of taking this product, usage should be stopped and a doctor consulted. Under 12 years: not to be given.
